Preparation of new modified silica gel terminated with phenylphosphonic acid-amide moieties for adsorption of uranium(VI) from aqueous solutions

Abstract PAMAM dendrimers modified silica gel terminated phenylphosphonic acid-amide moieties (Si-6G PAMAM-PPAAM) was prepared for uranium(VI) adsorption from aqueous solutions by batch and fixed-bed column methods. The experimental results showed that the maximum capacity 434.78 mg g −1 . Equilibrium isotherm data obeyed Langmuir model. Kinetic followed pseudo-second order model thermodynamic parameters implied spontaneous, endothermic. performance of new adsorbent toward uranium using method also investigated. investigated successfully used to extract leach liquor granitic rock sample.
